Одна из самых оригинальных и значительных книг последнего времени. Книга смелая и тонкая, радикальная и глубокая… Жизненноважная.

Резкая критика современной технологии, в которой машины, телефоны, компью теры, банки, биоэнергетика и телевидение… лишь части безумной "мегатехноло гии", разрушающей природу и людей.

Чрезвычайно ясная и умная книга, в которой показана насущная необходимость изменения направления нашей культуры пока еще есть время.

Мандер открывает перед нами поистине чудовищные перспективы: "мегатехноло гии" изменяющие человека и разрушающие все живое. Еще и еще раз он приво дит неотразимый аргумент — это может произойти, если мы не возвратим утерян ное чувство "святости земли" — чувство, хранимое аборигенными народами.

"Книга "не отпускает"… Мандер показывает со всей очевидностью: аборигенные народы — не атрибут далекой истории, а источник практической мудрости, необ ходимый для выживания и обновления.
